He has contributed to The Rough Guide to Rock (Rough Guides, London, 1996), Airs & Places: People & Music in Berkshire (Corridor, Berkshire, 1999) and Sound the Trumpets, Beat the Drums (Parapress, Tunbridge Wells, 2002). Various album reviews can be found at BBC Online, including a Cliff Richard review that prompted this gushing tribute from a resident of New York City: 'Alwyn Turner, next to Cliff you are my favorite Englishman...' He has also written a large number of games, including a range of murder mystery dinner parties (Brie, The Bullet & The Black Cat, The Champagne Murders, Death by Chocolate and The Casino Killings amongst others), the board games of They Think It's All Over, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Price is Right, Who's In the Bag and Reminiscing, and dozens of trivia games on subjects from football to Star Trek, pop music to TV soaps.
